Lancaster City Council Local Plan

Current progress

The Lancaster District Local Plan (the Strategic Policies & Land Allocations DPD and reviewed Development Management DPD) were adopted by the Council on the 29^th July 2020. Upon adoption these documents superseded the previous Local Plan which was formed of the residual elements of the 2004 Lancaster District Local Plan, 2008 Lancaster District Core Strategy and 2014 Development Management DPD, these three documents have now been formally withdrawn.

There are a number of other documents which have already been adopted by Council and supplement the Strategic Policies & Land Allocations DPD and reviewed Development Management DPD. These include the Arnside & Silverdale AONB DPD, Morecambe Area Action Plan DPD.
